Clinical Social Work Intern

Hi, my name is Sa’Miya Wooten! Currently, I am a Master of Social Work candidate at the University of Maryland with first rate knowledge of client advocacy. Prior to obtaining my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Bowie State University, I knew I wanted to be a part of the change in helping young people and families experiencing mental health challenges.

I have always had a passion for the arts, community service, and mental health awareness. As a native of Greenville, Mississippi, this passion for community outreach and creating space for young people to heal through the arts has become my life’s mission. My goal is to open my own business that provides psychological healing and therapy through the performing arts. In my internship with Resilient Child Therapy and beyond, I hope to create safe spaces for young people that are fun, inspiring, and impactful.

Sa’Miya has weekday morning/afternoon and weekend availability! Give us a call or send us an email to schedule an appointment!
