Welcome to Resilient Child Therapy Institute, LLC!
Is your child or teen experiencing difficult emotions that affect his or her home life and academic performance? Are you a frustrated parent unsure of how to manage your child’s behaviors? Perhaps you’re a young adult dealing with your own difficulties? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you’ve found the right place! At Resilient Child Therapy Institute, we are dedicated to providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. We aim to meet individuals and families where they are by utilizing their strengths and helping them reach their full potential. We offer a safe space that is free to open expression, exploration, and healing.
Resilient Child Therapy Institute is a private therapy practice located in the DC metro area. We specialize in individual, family, and group therapy for children and adolescents, ages 2-17. We also serve young adults ages 18-23 that might be experiencing difficulties related to childhood trauma and loss.
We use strength based practices, including play therapy and expressive arts to address social, emotional and behavioral difficulties. We provide education, guidance, and support to caregivers and key stakeholders that are involved in a child’s life. We also provide consultation to schools and agencies, as well as clinical supervision to mental health professionals.
We believe that every individual and family walks in with their own unique story and unique strengths, therefore we value the client and what they bring to the therapeutic experience. We support individuals and families in realizing their potential, bouncing back from adversity, and being their best selves in life.
Play therapy is used to help children process and explore painful fears, anxieties, and inadequacies.
Expressive arts therapy is used as a medium for exploration and healing and may incorporate writing, drama, music, and drawing/painting.
Family therapy is used to explore and process family roles and interactions, while reinforcing the family’s unique strengths towards progress.
Group therapy provides a supportive environment for children and adolescents to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues.
